What Dijin is not, and why that's the point

A lot of products grow by quietly becoming everything. We would rather be clear about the edges. Three things Dijin is deliberately not:

Not a recorder

Dijin does not listen, record, or transcribe. It receives memory you choose to send, as signed DMF segments from the apps you connect. Capture happens elsewhere and the captured content is yours; Dijin is the layer that keeps and serves it.

Not a chatbot

Dijin does not try to be the AI. It is the memory underneath the AIs you already use. It answers from your evidence or refuses, it does not improvise a personality or opinions. The intelligence is the model’s job; the memory, and the proof, are Dijin’s.

Not a vendor silo

Your memory is not locked to Dijin. It is an open, owner-signed format you can export and verify without us. If we disappeared tomorrow, your memory would still be readable. That is the opposite of a silo, and it is intentional.

Drawing these lines is not modesty, it is how a memory layer stays trustworthy. A thing that does everything can be audited for nothing.
